pumpkin patch photo planning (now try saying that 4 times fast!)

I'm gearing up for fall photography, trying to decide where to go to for a little pumpkin patch photography with my little pumpkin this fall. I'd like to share with you a link that lists you-pick pumpkin patch farms by state HERE. If anyone has first hand experience with some pumpkin farms in the Indiana... especially in the Fort Wayne and Indy, I'd love it if you could let me know what you liked or didn't like about the place. I'm looking for loads of pumpkins, Indian corn, bales of straw, etc., would like to take a hayride (gotta drug up with antihistamines for three days before this allergen-filled event and maybe even wear an N95 respirator), and would enjoy apple cider and other misc. goodies for sale.

  1. Sounds exciting - sorry can't be a big help. Our country is pumpkin-free, lol!! Can't wait for you to post pictures. I bet you they will turn out as great as usual!

    Now try to say that:
Fischers Fritze fischte frische Fische. Frische Fische fischte Fischers Fritze, he he.

I have more of those in case you're bored and/or interested, haha.

  2. Can't wait to see those photos!
Come on down here and we'll visit "Tuttle's Orchard". It sounds right up your ally and all the kids will love it!

  3. Hilgers on 30 in Columbia City is always good... they usually have a bazillion pumpkins and some other kind of cheesy, but fun Halloween stuff. There is also a pumpkin train in New Haven, but I've not ever done that. and of course, the zoo has a halloween thing, but I wouldn't waste the time on that with Hannah. I think the kids need to be a little older to enjoy it.

    Enjoy!

  4. I've never been there, but Stony Creek Farm in Hamilton County is the one I hear positive things about.

    I enjoy reading your blog!

  5. My Pipsqueak loved the Little Erie Railroad on Ryan Road in New Haven. You get to ride a train to the pumpkin patch and there is ample photo opportunities.

Good luck with whichever one you choose!
