Hi. I'm Sarah. He's Kevin. The little ones are Hannah and Hudson. We're a family, blessed with our children via international adoption. Hannah Claire and Hudson Ray were lovingly cared for in Taiwan, placed into our arms on 12.29.08 and 6.13.12, and things haven't been quite the same since. Hallelujah!
"By adopting a child and helping them reach their potential, they help us reach ours. An adopted child is not an unwanted child; to the contrary. They are a child who was searched for, prayed for, cried for, begged for; received by arms that ached, making empty hearts full. Love is meant to be shared." - Author unknown
We have a Canon EOS 7D. The lenses I work with include a 24-70mm f/2.8L, 85mm f/1.8, and 50mm f/1.8.
My laptop has been admitted to Kevin's computer ICU. Ever since we went to Taiwan I've been having problems with Explorer locking up on me, with growing frequency. My theory is that I caught a virus while being online at the hotel. We have a firewall at home that catches everything. Wish I would have installed Norton to protect me while we were in Taiwan. Live and learn, I guess.
Now that my laptop is back, I made a little video with some footage that I've been saving for several weeks. This was WAY FUN to make. So glad I could find just the right music to put with it. Sadly, I don't have any video footage of sampling stinky tofu for the first time... but that's another post!
This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time... You guys! The jaws music makes it even better. I was almost expecting to see Sarah spit it out or something, lol! Jen
Taiwan's century eggs don't taste as strong or weird as malaysia's or china's.. =) which i like them!Did you guys tried the salted egg? Again.. they aren't as salty as the ones malaysia or china.. and i like them too~ haha~ my travel buddy hate the stinky tofu.. so i missed the opportunity to try it.. =(
Gotta love the Jaws music! You guys are so much braver than me and hubby when it comes to trying food! We will have to meet this summer in Ft. Wayne, maybe at the zoo?
i see.. as the hotels i stayed allowed me to choose between western or chinese for breakfast.. therefore i got to try out salted egg from the chinese style.. =)
Personally, the scariest moment in that video was when Kevin reached for the glass of milk. The thought of pi-dan - some can get pretty potent - with milk *shudder*
Yall are SO cute!! I was very impressed with yall's very adventurous spirits!
ReplyDeleteYall seriously make me wanna try it again . . . because it is the only thing I have ever tried and almost couldn't swallow.
That was 10 years ago in 1998. So, maybe it is time for a rematch!!

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you all are adventurous since Abbey and I are such weenies! We thought eating at Burger King in Taiwan was daring!
ReplyDeleteOh you are SO brave! I did the stinky tofu and loved it, but I was too afraid of the egg!

ReplyDeleteROFL!! That is so funny. The ones in China are fermented in cow dung. I didn't try it in Taiwan... you are brave!! - Marina
