installing the car seat

Who writes the text for these child car seat installation manuals? REALLY! I consider myself a fairly intelligent person, and I'm just not understanding how to do this at all. Luckily I married a handy guy that's good at following manuals to figure out how to do something new. We (that means Kevin) installed Hannah Claire's car seat today right along side Sedona's babydog car seat. I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of licking of fingers and toes going on in the back seat.

  7. HAHAH! This post was meant to be funny about the "Babydog on board" title. My mom ALREADY called me at home about it. Really... what else can I do but obsess about car seats, Hannah Claire hitting her head on the fireplace, and if my floors are clean enough for a little mover and shaker soon to be crawling around on them? (Sigh) Come home soon, baby... before your first time mama goes completely nuts.

And... the babydog car seat came from Petsmart. The dog does need to be in a harness to be restrained. There is a clip in the babydog car seat that clips onto the harness. Sedona likes her babydog car seat because she's boosted up and can see out the window.

  8. Now THAT is a funny, funny picture.

With Babydog in the back, Hannah Claire is sure to stay well-amused. None of those backseat whiny fits from her.

  10. adorable! not sure what kind of locking mechanism you have for your beautiful "hannah" britax...but locking clips are for the birds. the best thing we found to get any and all seats tightened down super easy and super safe was the "mighty tight"...about $15 at babys r us. it was worth every penny and made installation on all of our seats a breeze!
can't wait to see her in it!

  14. Oh my.. that is one cute doggie car seat. We need to buy station wagons for our dog.

Our car seat is in and out of the car at least a dozen times a week. Might be a good idea to get some practice... or buy two car seats.

I like to cover on your.

  15. Sarah, This comment isn't exactly about this post . . .although that picture is soooo cute!

I just wanted to tell you that I thought about you and your little HC all the way home yesterday. And, I thought about how she and I are in the SAME CITY!!!

There are several times since coming back to Taiwan that I've wanted to pursue volunteering to hold babies, but as a newlywed, I just find my time isn't enough . . . SO SAD. I wish I could just go and take tons of photos and videos for you and play with your dear Hannah Claire for a little while. I would do THAT in a heartbeat.

  17. We had our installed wrong for a good few months. We have the Britax and it never said anything about the tether. So, we didn't have it anchored to anything. Quite scary.

  18. One more comment from moi:

I was in Target this morning getting some baby supplies and my 8yo daughter pointed and said "Look Mommy, what a pretty carseat." I looked and it was yours. The name of it was the Britax Hannah! How appropriate ; )

Still praying you can lock her in that seat so very soon! Have a great day!
