  1. Hi Sarah, I've been a faithful reader of your blog since August '08. I found you through RM and you made a beautiful pendant for us with our son, Joel's, picture in it for RM's China process.

I have to tell you that I'm so excited for your Hudson to come home to your sweet family. We were in the process last year for a son from China...we had named him Seth Hudson R...{Hudson after the great missionary to China, Hudson Taylor.} We lost our Seth in November due to complications from his heart surgery. It's been a difficult road to say the least, but we are stepping out in faith again in hopes of bringing another beautiful boy home this year.

I'm not looking for you to write anything in particular...I just really like your story and have enjoyed following it all these years.

Much love and excitement for you~

  2. Well, I guess I'll go first! My name is Charloe and I live in Utah. I've been following your blog for awhile now--one of the first posts I remember is the one where you got the referral for Hannah! It's been fun following you and I'm really excited to "meet" baby Hudson. The reason I read your blog is that I have a daughter that is the same age as your Hannah and your family just seems like a normal, regular family. Plus, you and my husband are in the same profession!

  3. Hi Sarah! My name is a Alicia and I hate to admit it but I've been lurking for a loooong time. I started following your blog in 2009 when we were in the process of adopting our son from Taiwan. I love your photos and just reading about your journey and your family's life. Praying that you will be holding your little boy very soon.

  4. I've been following your blog since before you got Hannah-- not sure exactly when I started following but I know it was before your adoption trip. Now we're about to travel to China to bring home our youngest. I read your blog because I'm an adoptive mom... and I enjoy your sense of humor. Can't really think of a favorite post type-- aside from news that you're getting closer to bringing your son home.

  5. We started the process of adopting from Taiwan almost 4 years ago which is when I found your blog. Unfortunately things didn't work out for us, but I've still visited your blog. I have such a heart for adoption, and it's fun to follow your story and see you go through the process again. Godspeed bringing home your little boy!

  7. Hi Sarah, my husband and I have been following for about 8 months. We are a Navy family located in Norfolk Va. My husband is an Optometrist and I am an Intervention Specialist for high-risk pre-school students in our city schools. We are relative newlyweds and a bit older than the norm I guess. We met in Okinawa Japan, I was a DODEA school teacher and he was commander of the Naval hospital. We are driving into the world of international adoption with great anticipation. Our home study is complete and we are waiting on programs to open, (hopefully) this year. We love Taiwan and hope to adopt there, but China is also special to us...maybe one from each!!! I love the sneak peek into your lovely family and home.

  11. Hi! I've been following your blog for several years-- we initially looked into adopting from Taiwan. But our adoption journey led us to China, and we have been home for three years now with our daughter. LOVE your blog-- the pictures and just your everyday life as a family. :) Best wishes as you get closer to bringing home your son! :)

  15. I'm a mid-20ish Canadian born Chinese living on the West Coast ... and definitely a lurker :) I started reading your blog before traveling to China last fall; one of our stops was GuangZhou, and googling its attractions actually led to some adoption blogs, and here I am, still following you & your wonderful family.

I love everything you write about -- don't change a thing!

  17. Hi Sarah, my name is Amy and I've been following your blog since before you brought home Hannah. We traveled to St. Lucy's for our son (turns 3 in April) in Sept 2010 and relied on much of your travel information. I love your blog designs and photography. You are a talented and creative person. We also have a 6 year old daughter born in JiangXi, China. We would like to come to the Taiwan ROCKS reunion in Chicago if the logistics allow. Not an excuse, but guess I've been too shy to comment until now.

  20. Greetings from Huntsville, AL. I found your blog while you were a couple in waiting. I have followed about 3 adoption blogs after a family friend adopted her newest granddaughter now the newest has been home for five years. It is so hard to believe. Thank you allowing others to rejoice with you as you enjoy your Taiwan treasure and await the arrival of another. I am a middle aged schoo.l teacher that spent a couple of years in Wheaton, IL working at the Billy Graham Center Archives at Wheaton College. Thanks for allowing me to share
