  2. Tiff, Canon 7D with a 24-70mm f/2.8L lens with the battery grip and a 430EX II Speedlite flash... so I've got all kinds of things to learn at the same time. This takes compact flash memory which I don't have a slot in my laptop for, and we're dealing with getting the photos off the camera. The autofocus settings are very different on the 7D and that's my main source of frustration right now. Choosing to work with or without this flash and how to set up the flash is an ENTIRELY new ballgame and I really just need to take it off until I deal with my focusing issues first. Sigh.

  3. i can understand about the learning curve. i had a really hard time adjusting to my 50mm 1.4, but ended up loving it. now i'm having to adjust to the 24-70mm 2.8, as well as a new flash...but not a new camera!!! congrats on the new camera AND the new lens! what fun! cant wait to see all of your beautiful pictures!
