finishing Hannah Claire's nursery

I came home from work one night this week and Kevin had put together the crib all by himself and set up the crib bedding. It was so sweet of him to go ahead and do this. Kevin and I set up the changing table and hutch this weekend. It felt so good to get into the closet and open up baby care items that I've been saving for so long. I have kept tags on baby care items and clothing "just in case" something went wrong.

You can click on any of the above pictures to get a closer look.

When Nancy, our artist, called me at work and told me about her plan to paint two blue birds on a branch near an empty nest, I got really teary eyed. Hopefully our nest won't be empty for very much longer. We're ready for you, sweet baby.

Please tell me the secret to having your pictures clickable on the blog. Some of mine do, but others don't.

  6. Dawn,
Regarding your question about clickable photos... here goes. I've noticed when I upload my grapics in my posts to blogger, it makes them smaller to fit in the posting area. It automatically sets up a link so that when you click on the photo it takes you to a link to see the graphic in it's original size. The problem arises when you move around the photos in your post... and sometimes the html code for the links gets messed up. I prevent broken links by cutting and pasting the actual html code for photo when I want to move it to a different spot in the post. That way the html code for the photo stays all together and the link doesn't break. I hope that makes sense. Ask again anytime if you need more help.

  7. Yes, it does...THANKS! Now the key will be to remember to move the code. Do you upload via computer or URL? Does it matter?

  8. Dawn, I upload via computer rather than making a separate upload to a photo hosting site. I may change my ways in the future. Michelle at "Born in our Heart" http://borninourheart.blogspot.com/ has beautiful beautiful photos and digital scrapbooking that she hosts at Flickr. When she uploads from her Flickr account the photos and digital scrapbooking images don't get compressed so small as they do when hosted by Google's Picasa via Blogger. I could spend all day admiring Michelle's blog... you should go take a peek!
