Chicago Part 1: The Hyatt

Kevin and I have been talking about needing to get outta town for the past month. We're hanging around home, not going anywhere, trying to save money for adoption expenses, and not being our usual adventurous selves. I was so excited when he came by work on Thursday afternoon and surprised me with a note book with our Chicago trip itinerary. Kevin used Priceline to book us a four star hotel in Chicago, and chance got us the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place which was within 6-7 blocks of Chicago's Chinatown. We arrived late on Friday night after a long drive, and ordered room service. We were on the 20th floor and had a great view of downtown. We left the curtains open at night so we could see all of the lights in the skyline.

  1. Thank you for sharing your trip to Chinatown with us! I learned a lot from your post. We'll have to take a trip there ourselves some day.

  2. uggghhhh, where is your referral!!! Do you know how much longer?

  3. OK all your post are making me sooooo hungry!! LOL! I am glad you are getting all those date-like adventures in now b/c when the fortune cookie kicks in then it will be a little harder to just whisk away to Chicago and eat delicious food all day while hanging at the oldest planetarium in the world and take amazing pictures. Oh who am I kidding... I'm talking to Sarah here. You'll totally strap that kid to your back or push her in a pink bugaboo or something and still have amazing trips & shopping excursions. TEHEHE!

  4. Miss S - looks like you had a fabulous trip to Chicago, no sightings of Oprah in chinatown eh? LOL. looks like a blast and so glad you and Kevin got away now, do it again soon because once miss hannah comes you'll be trippin it to the zoo, the playground, blowin bubbles, to mygym - -which will be awesome and you'll love but alone time with hubby will never be the same :)
Any news or updates from the agency yet? Thinking of you and sending referrals prayers all around ya

  5. This is such a beautiful montage of your trip!! It looks like you had beautiful weather to boot. It makes me want to go back to Chicago! I hope you get your good news soon. SOON!!!
